Consumer Protection & Accreditation

Bison Eco Ltd is a member of MCS, TrustMark and the Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC). We are committed to operating in line with the RECC Consumer Code to ensure high standards of consumer protection, transparent pricing, fair contracts, responsible payment terms, and quality installation practices.

Any money taken before work begins, where goods or services are not immediately delivered, is treated as a deposit or advance payment. Deposits requested at contract signing will never exceed 25% of the total contract value. Further advance payments will only be taken within 21 days of the scheduled installation date. All pre-payments combined will never exceed 60% of the final contract price before goods or services are delivered. Where applicable, deposits and advance payments are protected under consumer-code and insurance-backed protection requirements.

For contracts agreed in a consumer’s home or away from our business premises, consumers have the legal right to cancel within 14 days without penalty, in line with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. All Bison Eco Ltd contracts include a clear Cooling-Off & Cancellation Notice explaining this right.

We do not use high-pressure sales tactics. All quotations, system performance estimates, savings projections, costs, warranties, and system limitations are issued transparently and in plain English so consumers can make fully informed decisions.

Installations and retrofit works are completed by technically competent and qualified tradespeople and comply with product manufacturer requirements and UK Building Regulations. Where applicable, system sizing and performance estimates are based on recognised calculation methods including BS EN 12831 for property-specific heat-loss and system design.

Bison Eco Ltd holds appropriate Public Liability Insurance for the work we carry out. All products are supplied with manufacturer warranties and customer handover information explaining safe operation, maintenance requirements, and how to raise any issues if needed.

If a consumer wishes to raise a complaint, we will acknowledge it within 5 working days and aim to resolve it promptly, fairly, and transparently. If the matter cannot be resolved directly, consumers may escalate the complaint through a relevant approved independent dispute resolution or consumer-code escalation route depending on the service delivered.

System performance and savings estimates are provided as calculated projections, not guarantees, unless explicitly backed by a manufacturer performance warranty. All equipment is supplied with warranty documentation and handover guidance.

We are committed to fairness, honesty, quality workmanship, and responsible environmental practice across all renewable energy and home-improvement retrofit installations.
